Prime Treasury is a customized treasury management service connected with Rho's automated finance platform.
Fremont, CA: Rho is an automated financial platform designed to meet the demands of early-stage and mid-market businesses. Rho was established in 2018 by Everett Cook & Alex Wheldon to make funding easier for businesses. Rho integrates all the tools required for finance professionals to control all expenditures, optimize return on cash, and reduce finance system inefficiencies, with corporate cards, AP automation, banking, treasury, and more built-in.
Rho unveiled Prime Treasury, a customized treasury management product integrated within Rho's automated financial platform. Prime Treasury, Rho's new registered investment adviser subsidiary, will assist growth-stage, US-based firms in protecting their capital against inflation by strategically investing in government and corporate securities offerings. "CFOs are under immense pressure to address historic inflation and the toll it is taking on corporate cash reserves," said Everett Cook, CEO & co-founder of Rho. "We launched Prime Treasury to help them tackle this problem in an automated, seamless fashion."
Rho customers use Prime Treasury to collaborate with Rho's SEC-registered investment adviser and support staff to create a personalized investment policy customized to their company's specific liquidity and security requirements. These policies favor high-quality assets such as US Treasury bonds, investment-grade corporate bonds, and bank CDs. In addition, customers' portfolios get actively adjusted to earn market rates, with Rho monitoring operational account levels and automatically transferring money depending on liquidity needs. Finally, clients can access Rho's skilled investing staff if they want more help.
Prime Treasury assets are kept directly in the customer's name in their Rho account, as opposed to other providers that propose pooled investments such as ETFs or money-market Funds. As a consequence, Prime Treasury customers are only liable to the asset management fee imposed by the investment adviser rather than the management fees generally levied by third-party fund providers.
Prime Treasury is Rho's second treasury management solution, designed to assist organizations with more than $5 million in investable assets. On the other hand, Rho Treasury Accounts is based on a network of over 300 FDIC-insured banks and offers up to $75 million in FDIC protection per institution.
